Boost UK donations by 25% with Gift Aid

Gift Aid lets UK charities claim an extra 25% on every eligible donation from HMRC — at no cost to the donor. Donaiser automates the entire workflow from declaration to HMRC-ready export, so you never leave money on the table.

Why Gift Aid matters

For UK charities, Gift Aid is essentially free money. A donor gives $100, and HMRC adds $25 — but only if you properly collect and report the declaration. Without structured tracking, charities miss claims or lose paperwork.

Donaiser automates the entire process: collection at checkout, donor self-service, admin management, automatic inheritance on renewals, and HMRC-formatted export.

How it works

At checkout, donors see a customizable Gift Aid declaration checkbox. Their preference is saved to both the order and their user profile. For recurring donations, the preference is automatically applied to every renewal order.

Donors can update their Gift Aid status anytime from My Account. Changes can be applied retroactively to past orders. Admins get a Gift Aid column in the orders list and can export declarations as CSV.

  • Customizable declaration at checkout with logo support
  • My Account page for donors to manage their preference
  • Retroactive application to past orders
  • Automatic inheritance on subscription renewals
  • Gift Aid column in WooCommerce orders list (HPOS compatible)
  • HMRC-ready CSV export with date-range filtering

Where to configure

Enable from Donaiser > Settings. Customize the declaration text, label, and description. Set up the checkout checkbox appearance.

Donor self-service

Donors manage their Gift Aid preference from My Account > Gift Aid. Changes apply immediately and can update past orders.

HMRC export

Export Gift Aid declarations as CSV with name, address, postcode, and amount — formatted for HMRC submission.
